Trans Affirming Healthcare Video Series Completed!

Our team is committed to working to improve healthcare services for trans and nonbinary communities. One of the ways that we have worked towards this is by creating recommendations for fostering more inclusive practices. These recommendations were developed by the Trans-ilience Community Advisory Board and our research team members. You can find more information about these recommendations here. Over the past few years, we have created a video series to help share these recommendations.

This week we posted our final trans affirming healthcare video to our YouTube series! This final video is a bit different from our previous ones. Instead of addressing specific recommendations, this video shares the personal stories of trans and nonbinary community members in navigating healthcare, including both positive and negative experiences.  You can check out this new video here and you can watch the full healthcare video series here. The full series discusses other aspects of affirming care, such as how to create an inclusive space, forms and record keeping, resources, institutional practices and supports, and providing concrete helpful information about your practice.
