Gender Affirmation Project
The Trans-ilience Research Lab is proud to partner with Allen Neighborhood Center, the MSU Triangle Bar Association, and the Salus Center to present the Gender Affirmation Project, a program that provides financial and practical assistance to transgender and nonbinary folks in Ingham County seeking to update their legal name and/or gender marker.

Riley Clark (they/them) is a senior psychology major with a minor in LGBTQ and Sexuality Studies. Their academic and professional interests center on neurodivergence, trauma, and LGBTQ+ mental health. As an aspiring Licensed Professional Counselor, Riley is committed to both clinical work and research that support the well-being of marginalized communities. Riley’s work focuses on integrating creative and metaphor-based approaches into therapy, with the goal of making mental health care more accessible, affirming, and culturally responsive. Outside of academics, they enjoy storytelling, writing, and spending time in nature.
