Gender Affirmation Project
The Trans-ilience Research Lab is proud to partner with Allen Neighborhood Center, the MSU Triangle Bar Association, and the Salus Center to present the Gender Affirmation Project, a program that provides financial and practical assistance to transgender and nonbinary folks in Ingham County seeking to update their legal name and/or gender marker.

My name is Jazmin Russell (She/They), preferred name Jaz. I am currently an undergraduate majoring in Neuroscience with a focus in brain and behavior with a minor in Korean. My primary interests include advocacy work, research education, and deepening my knowledge of the brain and its influence on behavior. My long-term ambition is to become a clinical psychologist that specializes in research focusing on the unique stressors and sociopolitical constructs that greatly affect marginalized communities. I hope to advocate for greater awareness and accessibility within mental health research for these groups and to aid in destigmatizing the conversation around mental health. Outside of academia, I enjoy drawing, photography, reading, listening to music, and playing video games.
