Gender Affirmation Project
The Trans-ilience Research Lab is proud to partner with Allen Neighborhood Center and the MSU Triangle Bar Association to present the Gender Affirmation Project, a program that provides financial and practical assistance to transgender and nonbinary folks in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties seeking to update their legal name and/or gender marker.
My name is Gianna Sorge (she/her), and I am currently in my third year at Michigan State University studying neuroscience with an interest in behavioral & systems neuroscience. I also have a minor in women & gender studies with a focus on feminist research topics highlighting gender-diverse studies concerning mental health. I'm passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion work and am currently DEI chair for a business fraternity titled Phi Gamma Nu where I hold monthly workshops about identity work, implicit bias, and disability visibility. I hope to continue my studies through a graduate program in Clinical Psychology and my dream school is Umass Amherst! Outside of my studies I pride myself on being an animal lover, sticker collector, and love all kinds of music!
